Quilt Deliveries to Remote Areas of WA
Since April this year, Community Quilts has given 23 quilts to Cherie Mincherton (a WAQA member) for delivery to Aboriginal Medical Services in some very remote areas of Western Australia where she travels for her work with the Department of Social Services.
Cherie has been given permission by some recipients to show photos of them with their quilts and it is wonderful to see the smiles on the faces as they receive the quilts. No photos were taken on delivery of quilts to Geraldton Aboriginal Medical Service and Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Service (maybe next time!).
