Country Shop Hop Done - Metro Shop Hop Starts

Last Saturday I joined a number of WAQA members on the Bus Trip to the South West shops to take part in the Annual WAQA Shop Hop. We started off at Innaloo in light rain and there was rain on and off throughout the day, but thankfully only whilst we were on the bus. It was so nice to have someone else do the driving and I managed to get quite a lot of knitting done (did not have any hand sewing projects to take).

We stopped in at Cotton Rose in Vasse, Craft Collections in Bunbury, Classic Stitches in Erskine and finally Fabric Lane in Mandurah. There were a lot of purchases made at each of the shops, with some Shop Hop bags filled to overflowing. The lucky winners of the vouchers had fun spending the ‘extra’ money.

Whilst shopping was a priority, there was plenty of time for chatting and eating. The Magpie Cafe in Vasse had the best Vegan Pistachio Slice I’ve tasted and was so cheap thanks to the voucher from Cotton Rose. We had lunch in Bunbury with plenty of food and seating provided by Craft Collections. Then afternoon tea was available at Classic Stitches with lots of yummy treats. Finally Fabric Lane provided punch and nibbles, before we headed onto the bus for the trip home. ,

I’m off to the Shop Hop opening event, unfortunately having to drive myself around town so no knitting will be done!!
For those participating in the Shop Hop, please note the change of address for Layered Creations (27 Flinders Avenue Hillarys) and that Bizzy Bee Patchwork will NOT be open on Sunday.
