Progressive Quilt Rules & Conditions of Entry
Shopping Trail:
● The Shopping Trail will be held between 29 March – 3 May 2025 inclusive – five weeks (six Saturdays).
● Participants must purchase the booklet for $10 to participate.
● To obtain a sticker for your booklet, purchases must be made within the Shopping Trail dates. There is no minimum or maximum spend required.
● Each shop will have an individual pattern for a block measuring 10 ½ inch (10 inch finished).
● Diamond Sponsors will have a Bonus Block available with purchases made in store during the Opening and Closing events, or for country participants with purchases made online or by phone at the relevant store on opening and closing days.
● Each sponsor shop has a designated space on the entry form and the stores are responsible for placing a sticker in this space. For online/phone orders, the sticker is posted along with the block pattern. It is the participant’s responsibility to place the sticker on the entry form.
● Participation is open to all ages, all levels of ability, members & non-members.
Showing of the Quilts:
● The entry form in the booklet has an entry number which will be used for each quilt entered. One entry per booklet.
● Each person can only enter one quilt.
● Each Quilt can be entered into one category only.
● Entry into Showing of the Quilts must be received no later than 28/09/2025 by either emailing the entry form to waqasponsorship@gmail.com or posting to WAQA Progressive Quilt, PO Box 188, Subiaco, WA, 6904
● A clear colour photo of your quilt (finished or unfinished) must accompany your entry form.
● If you wish to donate your quilt to Worthy Australia, this must be clearly marked on your entry form.
● There is no minimum or maximum finished size of quilts entered.
● The category will be determined by the number of different 10” finished block patterns included from the Shopping Trail in the finished quilt and stickers obtained on the entry form.
● Bonus blocks obtained from the Diamond Sponsor stores during the opening and closing events along with a block from all the sponsor stores (totalling 13) will enable you to go in Category 1.

● Quilts must have a label on the back, right hand bottom corner providing name, phone number and entry number, and a hanging sleeve, either temporary or permanent as per the instructions on the WAQA website. To view the instructions, www. waquilters.com or use the QR code on the entry form.
● Quilts must be provided in a bag, which must also be clearly labelled with name, phone number and entry number.
● Quilts must be delivered to any of the options on the entry form by 11/10/2025 for entry and display at Showing of the Quilts.
● Country participants can contact waqasponsorship@gmail.com to negotiate delivery and collection of quilts.
● Prize pool of $2,400 consists of vouchers from our Sponsor Stores.
● Winners will be selected by popular vote, with one winner per category.
● One voting slip will be given to each paying attendee at the Showing of the Quilts between 9.30-2.30pm.
● Prizes will be awarded at 3pm.
● In the event of a tie, vouchers will be evenly divided between the winners in that category.
● Quilts can be collected immediately following the Showing of the Quilts between 3.30-4pm or at WAQA Sewing Day on 21/10/2025 or from the sponsor store nominated on the entry form.
● The person collecting the quilt must have your delivery receipt.
