Thanks to Helpers at CQ Sale

The Community Quilts Sale at Tuesday’s sewing day and night was a huge success. Thanks to Roslyn, Gwen, Yvonne and Jan for coming in early and setting up the tables full of fabric and all sorts of wonderful craft items. Everything on sale had been donated to Community Quilts and proved to be of interest to quite a few members in attendance.

Kicking off at exactly 10 o’clock there was a lot of activity at the tables and it did not take long, before Helen and Yvonne were weighing fabric and accepting offers on the other items. Then Marion and Rosemary did a wonderful job in taking payment or writing up slips for those paying by card on the Square.

All the regular CQ activities continued during the day thanks to Cathy, Pauline and Jan, with quite a few completed quilts handed in, and many quilt packs taken away. Special thanks go to the members that helped in packing away the items not sold into boxes and then moving all the boxes into the storeroom.

The biggest thanks must go to all the members that supported the sale which resulted in $2813 going towards purchasing wadding for next year.
