Quilt Show at Royal Show

Just saw the quilts on show at the Perth Royal Show. What a lovely sight! I recognized many of the names on the winning quilts as WAQA members, which was wonderful to see. Some of the quilts themselves seemed a little familiar. As I learnt, there is nothing to stop a quilt entered in QuiltWest being entered in the Patchwork Quilting section of the Creative Arts competition at the Perth Royal Show.

The Theme Class: Dogs attracted a number of entries, but as they were displayed behind glass, they did not photograph as well.

Congratulations to Janine Judge on winning the Best Exhibit in the Patchwork Quilting category. Details on WAQA entrants and winners of individual classes within Patchwork Quilting will appear in the Quilters Quarterly later in the year.
