Community Quilts BoM

One of the activities at the monthly Sewing meetings held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, is the Community Quilts BoM. At the January meeting Tiiu presented her BoM called a One and a Half Inch Delight to the members attending Sewing Day and Yvonne O’Brien presented Tiiu’s BoM to the members attending Sewing Night.

42 members took a packet of ‘One and a Half Inch Squares’ to make up one or more blocks, that when returned, Tiiu will make into one or more quilt tops for Community Quilts. Instructions are written up for how to piece the BoM, and those that miss out on getting a paper version of the instructions can get them from the website (now found in the Members Only area). Most months there is a BoM available and generally the block is one that has not been done previously for Community Quilts.
