Another Successful BYO Machine Night
The BYO Machine Night on Wednesday was another great night, with a number of members bringing along their machines and making great progress on their quilts. The stage was put to a very different use - a design board for laying out blocks. It was great to see two different BOM quilts being worked on and hopefully it will not be too long before they are ready for quilting.
Phil was kept busy moving between tables helping the beginners with piecing, basting a quilt, adding binding and quilting the quilt sandwich. The members that did not bring their machines, were busy working away on their hand sewing projects and the three hours just went so quickly.
For those that came straight from work, or missed having their dinner beforehand, the toasties offered by the Stirling Adriatic Centre’s bar went down well. As to the drinks, not sure what proved more popular, the cappuccinos or the lemon lime & bitters.
A nice way to spend the evening, and hopefully there will be more of these next year
