For those that attended Sewing Day or Sewing Night earlier in the week, and added to their stash by purchasing fabric at the Bazaar, Community Quilts wishes to say THANK YOU. The Bazaar was a great success in terms of fund raising for the purchase of wadding, and even more so in terms of the buzz in the room.

There were plenty of bargains found amongst the notions, patterns and other bits and pieces. Some ladies returned to the tables multiple times, and running out of cash was not a problem, as we had the Square on hand, so it was tap and go.
Special thanks goes to the ladies that helped in preparing for the Bazaar, Cathy G, Pauline, Prue, Gwen, Anne T, Ann E and Shirley, by selecting fabric, sorting and packaging the other items donated to Community Quilts. Thanks also to Robyn, Prue, Sandra, Nicola and Helen who helped with weighing the fabric, negotiating acceptable offers on items, and taking payment at Sewing Day/Sewing Night. I also need to extend a special thank you to the ladies that stayed to help at the end of the night with packing away all the unsold items: Cathy, Pauline, Gwen, Lesley, Shirley, Kate, Helen, Phil with apologies to anyone I missed. The Bazaar would not have been the success it was without help from all these wonderful ladies. Iris Potter CQ Convenor
Congratulations to you Iris, You did a fabulous job of organising the bazaar. Thanks also to the many people who donate their stashes and other sewing paraphernalia to Community Quilts, through them we are able to supply all the requirements to keep making quilts and hosting Busy Bees where the “Community” can gather and share skills and fellowship 🌺
