Raffle Winners… drum roll please

It was a small but happy group that gathered at “From the First stitch to the Last” in Wangara,  on a very cold and wet Sunday, for the drawing of the Quiltwest Raffle.

The QuiltWest Raffle proceeds go to Breast Care WA, and they provided lots of promotional material for our guests to take home with them.

The 1st Prize was a beautiful quilt made by Civil War Addicts.  This was pictured on the cover of our March Quilters Quarterly magazine along with an article by Hellen Stevens.
Fabrics purchased at Woven Stories.  All hand woven and hand dyed fabrics, hence the softness of the actual quilt.
Our first prize winner was Colleen Anderson, and she present at the draw, which made it very exciting when she presented her winning ticket to Jocelyne Leath  (Quiltwest Convenor) and Janet Collins.
2nd prize was won by Helen O’Hara which was a Bernina sewing machine donated by our Diamond Sponsor, Kennedy’s.Creative Sewing Centre.
Helen O’Hara is a very active member of the Contemporary Quilt Group and writes their blog.  I haven’t spoken to Helen but I am certain, she will be very excited.
3rd Prize Quilt was won by Belinda Grant, a WAQA member from Busselton.
Janet Collins, our host from First to the Last Stitch, also gave away some door prizes for those attending the draw.
Afternoon tea was provided by the QuiltWest committee.

A big thank you to everyone who purchased tickets, our sponsors and to Janet for being our hostess on the day.  Thank you

1st prize –  Ticket number 2405 – Colleen Anderson

2nd prize – Ticket number 5058-  Helen O’Hara

3rd prize – Ticket number 4415 – Belinda Grant
