Hexie Happenings

Sharing some words and photos today from Kerry Moore (WAQA accredited teacher)

Today at the Hexagon and Crazy Quilt Club we celebrated 2 years since we moved to the new venue. I took a few photos, but didn’t manage to get any of the show and tell. Just the group and some of the lovely food we enjoyed.
Just to give you some history, this club started in 1999/ 2000 and we met at the church hall in Wembley then. We grew too big in numbers and now meet at the current venue in Duncraig where we have more room. We have also gained a lot of new members and it is a very pleasant day sitting there chatting with them all and seeing the amazing creations they are coming up with in hexagons. I am still the only ‘crazy’ aficionado but that’s fine.

Barbara Daniels is our group librarian and she came up with the idea for the party. To top it off, she made these cute gifts for us all. Many thanks to all who helped with preparations and especially Barbara for the organising.
