These days you need to have your bags in hand, when grocery shopping. Whilst not a quilting project, these bags are just too good not to share with the quilting community.
The very talented Kerry Moore shared with me, and I now share with you.
“I attend a Hexagon and Crazy Quilt club and a member brought along the neatest bags she had made for using when shopping for veggies. I know it’s not quilting as such but it is still pretty important in the scheme of things nowadays.
The fabric is air flow and if you live in Western Australia, the fabric was purchased from Homecraft Textiles, there is one store in Victoria Park and a new one in Joondalup. The internet being what it is these days, I am sure it would only take a “google” search to find something similar, in order to begin this great project.
The member made bags long enough to hold celery and leeks, small enough for snow peas, wide enough for cabbage and such, and brown for potatoes. The yellow one is for capsicums of all colours”
Why not give it a go! Thank you Kerry and your Hexagon club for sharing this idea.
