The Contemporary group held their annual Christmas lunch on Friday and as usual we had a full day…
Show and tell included lots of different techniques that we shared with each other, with plenty of ideas for work over the holidays. We also had another chance to view the WAQA Challenge quilts and were happy to hear that CQG member Judith Wilton was this year’s winner. Congratulations, Judith!
Phil Thomas also gave a quick demonstration of how to make Kimekomi Christmas balls, if you have some fabric scraps then you just need a few other bits and pieces to make these balls in time for Christmas. Phil has some instructions on her blog, “The Guilty Quilter” or alternatively google away, there is a plethora of information and creativity on Kimekomi balls/ornaments on the web.
