The Dunsborough Quilt Fair will be held on the weekend of 21/22 October at St George’s Family Centre in Gibney St between 10am and 4pm each day. The biennial Fair is one of the biggest quilt shows in the South West.
Entries close on 9 October, with work encouraged from beginners through to experienced quilters. Entries can include patchwork or applique, wall hangings, runners, cushions, bags or large quilts.
This year organisers have taken the unusual step of also accepting work that is not finished. Spokeswoman Dianne Gillett said because quilting was so intricate, it was felt that the public would like to see some works in progress. “The quilts just need a completed top to be eligible.” Ms Gillett said. Around 100 quilts are expected to be on display.
