Beginner’s Session

Eighteen quilting novices came along yesterday to Alexander Park Craft House for a patchwork and quilting beginner’s session. WAQA members Jocelyn, Janice, Phil, Therese, Robyn, Julie and Jenni shared their skills with the new ladies and everyone had an enjoyable and information packed afternoon.

Everyone enjoyed ‘having a go’ at free motion quilting with Jocelyn. Janice was a whiz with her mitred binding and Robyn demonstrated how to sandwich a quilt. Phil managed to squeeze in basic equipment advice and hand quilting, whilst eating her Birthday cake!
Tea, coffee and other goodies kept everyone’s energy levels up…

Thanks to everyone involved!
