A Bumper crop of community quilts was on display this month with members keen not only to see the fine workmanship but also to get some inspiration for their own quilts.
The quality of these quilts is extremely high… well done to all the contributors!
Also on display were quilts destined for the Men’s Refuge with a barometer showing how many more are needed…
Michelle from Handcrafters House brought her ‘Sweet Sixteen’ machine along. She demonstrated and allowed members to ‘have a go’ as well as finding time to quilt a community quilt for us (not a moment wasted when Gwen cracks the whip!)
To round off the day Tina Ladhams gave a demo of the CQ block of the month and the pre-cut packs were eagerly picked up to make at home
