Apologies for being slow at keeping the blog up for the last month or so but I have a good excuse – I went to Melbourne for the AQC with three other WAQA members (Julie, Carol and Brenda). We signed up for the whole ‘Gold Delegate’ experience and certainly got our money’s worth – a welcome cocktail party, two evenings of talks by US tutors, four days of workshops and a gala dinner at the end of it. We were also privileged to have an early bird entry to the vendors and quilt show. Added to that we had constant tea and coffee, a morning snack bag and buffet lunch each day.
We enjoyed ourselves so much that we are going back again next year!
The talks were by David Taylor and Judy Coates Perez, both from the USA.
It was also good to see old friends such as Mylene’s ‘yo yo’ quilt, Jocelyn’s ‘Antoinette, Carole’s ‘Liliums for Glen’ and Yvonne’s ‘Bed of Blooms’.
All in all it was a great week but we were exhausted by the end of it!
