Another year goes by and last night WAQA held it’s Annual General Meeting at Stirling. A new committee has been appointed and reports for last year showed a successful and busy year for the Association. Some positions are still to be filled and we urge all members to think about taking on one of these jobs as it really is a great way to get to get to know people and make a difference!
The guest speaker was Helen Stubbings who gave us an inspirational talk about her life and background in quilting and stitching which left us all wondering how she managed to fit so much in!
Her beautiful quilts were on display and she also had kits and products for sale.
Her Colourque technique uses coloured pencils rather than applique to give a stunning result.
We all had to have a closer look to see how it was done!
There are still a few places on the three workshops this weekend so you too can be an expert – go to the news page for more information.
