No Sleep But Plenty of Work at the Retreat

Last Saturday (September 11), thirty-two WAQA members enjoyed a no-sleep retreat at the Manning Hall. Everyone had a table to themselves, and multiple tables were set up for laying out quilts. There was huge variety in the sewing that was accomplished, from traditional through to modern. Show and Tell after pizza or fish and chips really allowed everyone to appreciate the talent within the group. Included was the quilt top in the photo below by Shirley Marcionni, made with hand-stitched Sashiko blocks, alternated with log cabin blocks.
